Ask your farmer: Is this sweetcorn Bt - modified? Is it GMO?
You may be eating FrankenFood and not realize it. Of course, if you are still someone who shops in a supermarket, you won't find anyone there who can answer your question.
It's not widely known but GMO Bt sweetcorn became available directly to the public in the summer of 2012. It will lead to a health disaster. Bt toxin works by exploding the gut of insects feeding on Bt corn. The protease element binds to the lining of the gut and eats through the wall. There is increasing evidence that Bt toxin binds to the intestinal wall of mammals in the same way. That means humans, too.
One way to avoid GMOs is to buy certified organic.
